Composite profile CP03 · Quadrants: Know Thyself
Partners, spouses, and anyone in a close relationship they intend to keep. Take it separately, then read each other’s results.
Almost every relationship difficulty that lasts is a difference in one of four habits, and almost none of them is about love.
Can you steady yourself, and do you say what is going on inside you? When something is wrong, do you raise it, and do you mend afterwards? Do you need room, and do you need closeness, and does one of those cost you the other? And can you say no in a way that lets your yes mean something?
The four are independent, and the interesting result is usually not your own. It is the difference between yours and your partner’s. Take this separately, without discussing it, then read both. You will each answer 100 statements, which takes about twenty minutes.
One note before you start. This is a reflection tool for two people who are basically well and want to understand each other better. It is not couples therapy, and it is not appropriate as a way of settling an argument or proving a point.
100 statements in total. Nothing is saved and nothing is sent anywhere. If you close this page your answers are gone, so print or copy your results before you leave.
Part 1 of 4
Emotional Regulation and Emotional Expression. Answer as you actually are, not as you intend to be.
Part 2 of 4
Conflict Engagement and Repair. Answer as you actually are, not as you intend to be.
Part 3 of 4
Autonomy and Belonging. Answer as you actually are, not as you intend to be.
Part 4 of 4
Boundaries and Availability. Answer as you actually are, not as you intend to be.
Answer all 100 statements to continue.
Four results, side by side. No single score combines them, because they measure different things and averaging them would hide exactly what you came here to see.
These notes fire on specific combinations of your scores. They are interpretations offered for reflection, not findings, and you are the one who decides whether each fits.

The most useful next step is usually not to work on your weakest score. It is to pick the one result that surprised you, and to ask one person who knows you well whether they recognize it. A pattern you can see and someone else can confirm is a pattern you can change.
